Santa 5K Run & Walk

The Manheim Lions Club hosts an annual Santa 5K Run & Walk, in December, to raise funds for various community projects and charitable causes. The event is open to participants of all ages and fitness levels. Runners and walkers are encouraged to dress in festive holiday attire to celebrate the season.

Event Location & Parking

The Santa 5K Run & Walk takes place in Manheim, PA, starting and finishing at Market Square. Parking is available for participants at various locations near the event site. Please see the table below for locations and spaces count.

On Street Parking

On street parking is available throughout the Manheim Borough area. Please be sure to check for any parking restrictions or signage in the area. Traffic will be heavy on arrival so please arrive at least one hour before event start to ensure you make it to race start on time!

Event Rules & Regulations

Entry fees are non-refundable.
No-shows will not be mailed their race shirts or bags.
Roller/in-line skates, skate boards, long boards, e-scooters, e-bikes, one wheels, bikes, etc. are prohibited.
Dogs / Service Dogs are allowed on the race course. However, they must be leashed at all times and you must clean up after them. If you dog is aggressive please have them in a muzzle device / leader.
The decisions of the race director are final in all matters.
Chip time is recorded by an electronic chip that is attached to a runner’s bib. Your chip records the time at which you cross the start line.
Walker etiquette: Please place yourself in line after all the runners. If you have not crossed the finish line in 1 hour and 15 minutes after the start of the race, you will be asked to proceed your walk on the sidewalk to finish the event.

What is the date and time of the Santa 5K Run & Walk?
The event is scheduled for Saturday, December 6th, 2025. Check-in begins at 7:00 AM, and the race starts at 8:30 AM. Line-up starts at 8:20 AM. Runners will line up at the start line and walkers will follow up behind the runners.
Where is the event located?
The Santa 5K Run & Walk starts and finishes at Market Square in Manheim, PA.
How can I register for the event?

Can I register on the day of the event?
Runners may still register the morning of the race from 7:00 AM-8:00 AM. All runners and walkers are welcome.
Are restrooms available at the event?
There will be porta-potties available near the East side of Market Square near the start/finish area.
Is there water available during the race?
A water drink station will be set up at the halfway point of the race. There will also be water available at the end of the race.
Is the race timed?
The race will be chipped timed by Applied Race Management Opens in a new tab .
Are there medical services available during the event?
Yes. Life Lion will be onsite providing medical support for the event. As well as following participants along the course.
Are there awards or prizes for participants?
There will be a variety of goodies and drinks for all runners at the end of the race. There will also be medals for the top finishers in various age groups.

Are there security services available during the event?
Yes. We are coordinating with the Manheim Borough / Regional Police Department and the Manheim Fire Police to provide security and traffic control during the event.
Is there a time limit to complete the race?
Yes. The course must be completed within 1 hour and 15 minutes of the start time. Participants who do not finish within this time frame may be asked to proceed on the sidewalks to complete the event so that roads can be reopened.
I am a local resident. What roads will be affected by the race?
The following roads will have temporary closures during the race:
- South Charlotte St. from Market Square to West Ferdinand St.
- West Ferdinand St. from South Charlotte St. to South Heintzelman St.
- West High St. from South Heintzelman St. to Cresent Drive.
- Miller Drive from Cresent Drive to Lorraine Ave.
- Meadow Lane from Lorraine Ave. to North Fulton St. (via W High).
- W Gramby St. from North Fulton St. to North Charlotte St.
- Market Square from North Charlotte St.
A course map is available above for reference. The course will also be marked via signage a week before the event. If you are within the course area we advise planning alternate routes / parking accommodations during the event times. Once the race starts no cars may traverse the course route, or be allowed into the inner race area, until all participants have finished. Cars may be let out before race start at the discretion of the intersection attendants. The event runs for approximately 1 hour and 15 minutes after start time. Roads will be reopened starting with the furthest intersection. However, Market Square may remain closed for some time after the event to allow for cleanup and breakdown of event equipment.
